Hello... I'm really not trying to self-advertise or anything, honest, but I wanted to know in advance:
I'm thinking of setting up (via DA) a Doctor Who Cosplay club. I have never cosplayed before, but the idea of this group is that we form a complete (or as complete as possible) cast of characters from the show (full 50 Year run - why not?) with ONE cosplayer for each character. And no gender-swapping. This way we could get high quality cosplay shots, organize group-only shoots and y'know, that kinda thing.
It would have to be based in the UK - specifically the London area, as in order to organize shoots we'd all need to be able to get to an agreeable location. And we'd need all kinds of people alongside the cosplayers - makeup, hair/wigs, costume; these could all be helpful to the models. And, of course, photographers. Can't work without them.
But I was wondering - I know next-to-no DW fans IRL, so I want to know how many people would be interested in this idea. If you'd like to be involved, please send me a message!
I will probably set up a DA Group as well, but only if I get some responses.

To be honest, its going to be the whole "no gender swapping" that screws you in the foot. Most girls cosplay boys and a lot of boys cosplay girls, strangely. I don't cosplay as ANY female characters, so you know.
Unless you meaning, no changing the costume to be Captain Jack in a corset... bad example, he'd probably wear one, but unless thats what you mean, then you're not going to get much.

That's the kind of thing I meant. I know it came across real bad - I was intending to say no OBVIOUS gender swapping. Like, no male characters with a skirt... If the cosplay passes for a masculine image, that's cool.
And yep - mental image of Jack in a corset probably won't go away for quite some time now...
